Borrow A Tool to Save The World!

Benthyg Eitem i Achub y Byd!

Borrow Bus is an exciting and creative initiative started through the collaboration of four North East Wales towns. The areas covered in the scheme are Llangollen, Mold, Denbigh and Ruthin. Each town approached the project with a shared goal of allowing for local community members to have access to shared equipment. The Bws Benthyg / Borrow Bus also gives resource equity to communities and individuals allowing for self-motivated learning through student experiences. The programme will reduce waste and CO2 emissions into the local and wider communities.

Our Inspiration / Ein Ysbrydoliaeth

The Bws Benthyg / Borrow Bus project builds on the fantastic local work already being implemented by the Repair Cafes in Mold, Denbigh and Ruthin. The initiative developed by the four communities over several years has recently been successful in securing a National Lottery Climate Action Fund Bid. As the project expands we look forward to welcoming other communities who wish to take on a similar idea. Our team is always looking for new ideas that could help with the development of our work so get in touch.

Borrow and Use / Benthyg a Defnydd

Borrow Bus is the first initiative of its kind in the whole of Wales. With every tool that you borrow from the scheme, you reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills every year. Also in a modern society where it’s good to look after the pennies, you save yourself a large outright charge of purchasing tools or equipment you won’t use regularly. With our dedicated service, you won’t need to worry about maintaining or storing the item as after use we can collect.
